The DNF is my personal blog dedicated to all things running. Primarily I write about marathon training and my goal of qualifying for the Boston Marathon, but you will also find my thoughts on running and training in general, my reflections on new parenthood, and my reactions to major events on the professional circuit. For more about why I started this blog, I invite you to read my first post.
I have been running since 2005, when I signed up for my high school cross country team. I have never been a world-beater; like the tagline says, this is a blog for mortals. Nevertheless, running has taken me to countless meets, summer camps, college parties, work functions, physical therapists, regular therapists, sandwich shops, busy streets with no sidewalks, snowy wooded trails, transcendent moments of joy, crushing failures, and yes—a DNF or two. I live in New Jersey with my wife and son.
