This blog exists because I enjoy finding ways to be creative about my interests. Now, in addition to my writing, I have a visual outlet for whatever random running stuff pops into my head. So far it’s been a lot of fun!
As far as my actual running goes, things have not been great since I crashed and burned in Jersey City in April. It took me a while to get running again, which was expected, but then I banged my knee while pushing my son in the stroller and it hasn’t been the same since. That was over a month ago. I tried running through it at first, figuring it was just a bruise, but it never quite went away. Now I’m taking some time off to see if that helps.
This all leaves me in a really precarious position as I look to start my next buildup. Extra stress at work hasn’t been helping matters, and neither have surprise summer baby germs. I know I have to focus on the things I can control, like rehab and sleep, but it’s hard not to worry.
If I can find my way out of this scrum, I’ll go back to blogging with regular training updates. Until then, enjoy some T-shirts and stickers that you will definitely need to explain to people.
